This Privacy Policy explains how NextContract collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use NextContract.com and our related websites, tools and services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree that your information may be handled as described here.
The Services are for adults. They are not intended for anyone under 18.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, password, address, project details, photos, messages, reviews and anything else you choose to share.
Business information. If you are a contractor, this may also include your business details, licenses, insurance, service areas, prices and work history.
Payment information. Payments and contractor identity checks are handled by third-party providers such as Stripe. We don't store full card numbers on our servers. We keep limited records, such as payment status, amounts and transaction details.
Information collected automatically. This may include your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, pages visited, referring sites and error logs.

- Connect customers and contractors, and show relevant results near you
- Deliver messages, quotes, contracts and payment notices
- Process payments, refunds and payouts
- Provide support and handle disputes
- Review messages and job records when needed for support, safety or disputes
- Improve the Services and understand how they are used

3. Public information
Contractor listings, business websites and reviews are public. They can be seen by anyone and may appear in search engines. Search engines may take time to reflect changes.
4. How we share information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Services, including:
- With the customer or contractor you are working with, so the job can happen

5. Text messages and calls
We may send you texts or calls about your account, jobs, messages and payments. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out of texts, though some job and account notices may then reach you another way.
6. Cookies and similar tools
We use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, protect the Services and understand how they are used. You can manage cookies in your browser, but some features may not work without them.
7. Where information is processed
Your information is processed and stored in the United States, and may also be handled in other places where our service providers operate.
8. How long we keep information
We keep information as long as we need it for the purposes described here. Contracts, payment records and dispute records may be kept for longer, to meet legal, tax and accounting duties.
9. Your choices and rights
You can update much of your information in your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your information from active systems within a reasonable time. Some records may stay where the law or an active job or dispute requires them.
10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no online service can promise complete security.
